While plot details are currently being kept under wraps for the film, the new report for Scream 6 does tease that the sequel will find the four survivors of the 2022 film leaving Woodsboro to start a new chapter in their lives. Should she return, Scream 6 would mark the first film in the franchise to be without one key player as David Arquette's Dewey finally met his demise in the 2022 film after surviving every encounter with previous Ghostfaces. It is currently unclear whether Neve Campbell will be back for the horror sequel, with the actress having previously expressed an openness to returning as Sidney and having spoken with producers in February, but no official announcements have been made regarding her potential casting.
